Sky News

I've still been working away on the sky idea, doing studies at different times of the day using different media. Aswell as the clouds forming a track in the sky, I've also become interested in how the colours of the sky form tracks. I find this most noticeable in the evening time when I arrive home from college and the sun is setting. Chalk pastels have been my favourite medium to work in so far with acrylic paint coming a close second. I've also tried oil pastels but my watercolour endeavours didn't prove all that sucessful. Here's just a few photos of how things are going...

This is the viewfinder I've stuck to my apartment window ( which I'm sure has gotten the odd funny look from passers by)

These first 4 are all chalk pastel

and these last 2 are done in oil pastel

and here's a photo of the sky studies as they appear in my sketchbook.
