Tracks

After about 2 weeks of focusing on the movement of light I began to become more interested in tracks as the remnants of movement and motion. I started photographing tracks that were made in the footpaths in the city, in particular on the Dublin Rd., Clare St., and on George's Quay but also some tracks from where I'm from in Clonmel. The tracks vary from human footprints and handprints to animal prints to tyre tracks.

I also looked at the texture of objects that leave a track and did a few charcoal rubbings of these in my sketchbook.
